<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that executes shelf label display by easily and reliably capturing merchandise display information accompanying merchandise reorganization and repricing. <P>SOLUTION: The merchandise reorganization support system displays information corresponding to a shelf label for each line of merchandise arranged on each shelf, on electronic paper attached to each shelf of a merchandise rack. The system comprises a database 22 for storing a merchandise information file including merchandise codes specifying merchandise handled and prices, and a display information file including information about merchandise to be displayed on each shelf of the merchandise rack, whose records each include information at least specifying a merchandise code and a shelf label type. Shelf label data units corresponding to shelf labels are created in respective areas where merchandise is arranged on each shelf of the merchandise rack, according to records of the merchandise information file and display information file corresponding to the merchandise, and electronic paper display data comprising the aggregate of shelf label data units for the merchandise arranged on the shelf are transmitted to the electronic paper associated with the shelf of the merchandise rack. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
