<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a controller which can reasonably perform both game control and character input. <P>SOLUTION: In the controller 1 which has holding parts 5 on either side and is equipped with at least direction keys 8 on an operation face 7 standing in a row in these holding parts, a keyboard 12 is arranged in an adjoining position which is forward when holding the holding part on the operation face.
