PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the installation work of a wiring board to a stator, and to reduce a variation in the external size of an assembly formed of the stator and the wiring board, in assembling the armature of a rotating electric machine. SOLUTION: The armature 1 of the rotating electric machine is constituted such that: a plurality of coils are annularly formed to the stator 2 at a rotor external periphery in the circumferential direction; the stator 2 comprises an annular stator yoke 4 formed of a thin laminated body, and a pair of insulators 5 fixed in the circumferential direction by sandwiching the stator yoke from both ends in the axial direction of the stator yoke 4; the wiring board 3 formed of a resin molded body is arranged at one end in the axial direction of the stator 2; and winding ends of each coil are connected to each other via the wiring board 3. The armature of the rotating electric machine comprises positioning means 11, 17 and 23 that define an axial position, a circumferential position and a radius position of the wiring board 3 with respect to one insulator 5.
