PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap which is hard to clog even when a liquid containing a lot of pigment or the like is used, and to provide a liquid injection device equipped with the cap. SOLUTION: A fiber structural body 27 formed of fibers of, for example, polyethylene terephthalate is arranged at an inner bottom part of the cap 21 to fill a lower part of the cap 21. The fiber structural body 27 has the action of preventing scattering of ink or generation of mist at the time of idly discharging (flushing) the ink within nozzles of a recording head 51. A ventilation resistance of the fiber structural body 27 is 0.005 kPa or smaller. The ink is quickly discharged from a suction opening 23 at the time of cleaning and idle suction thereafter, and is prevented from remaining in the fiber structural body 27. Clogging at the fiber structural body 27 is prevented even when the ink containing a lot of pigment is used. The suction function by a sucking device 30 is prevented from being damaged.
