PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce sorting of unauthorized game mediums (for example medals) and to prevent the game mediums from being pulled out in an appropriate manner. SOLUTION: A game medium dispensing machine is equipped with a first gate 50e which closes to stop the progress of a medal 30 flowing down along a passage, a second gate 50f which closes to prevent the medal 30 from being pulled out, a game medium detecting part 50h for detecting the medal 30 on the passage, a game information acquiring part 42, an authentication executing part 43, and an authentication control part 41. The part 42 acquires game information stored in the medal 30 stopped at the first gate 50e based on detection made by the detecting part 50h. The authentication executing part 43 executes an authentication of an identifier based on the identifier included in the game information acquired by the part 42. The authentication control part 41 controls to open the first gate 50e and to close the second gate 50f according to the results obtained by executing the authentication by the authentication executing part 43.
