PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new power saving circuit which enables a sensor circuit to operate normally, when input voltage is restored by surely detecting the power stoppage state. SOLUTION: In this power saving circuit, where one end of a switching element 2 is connected to one pole of an AC power source 6 and, a load 22 is connected to the other end of this switching element 2, and one AC terminal of a rectifying bridge 7 is connected via a first capacitor 1 to one pole of the AC power source 6, a voltage detection circuit 21 is connected to the DC terminal of the rectifying bridge 7, and the output of this voltage detection circuit 21 is connected to a sensor circuit 11; and this sensor circuit 11 is equipped with an internal control switch 5B which switches the mode of power supply ability and an internal control switch 4B which switches the power supply to the load 22.
