PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector having an operation space for a kind of comparatively large and operation arm convenient to operate. SOLUTION: This electric connector used for electrically connecting a chip module and a circuit board is provided with a base attached to the circuit board, a movable lid body pivotally provided at one end of the base and the operation arm pressing the lid body against the base. The operation arm includes a connection part, a bend part formed when an end of the connection part is bent and an operation part extended from the end of the bend part, and can rotate between a horizontal position and a vertical position so that the operation part moves the pressing part. A hook joined with the pressing part is provided in the lid body. Among them, a plane of the bend part and the operation part is extended obliquely to a plane of connection part and pivotally provided part so that distance of the operation part and the circuit board is larger than that of the connection part and the circuit board when the electric connector is closed.
