PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display apparatus capable of reducing the electromagnetic wave interference as far as possible in the case of receiving of AM (amplitude moduration) radio broadcasting and a method of reducing the electromagnetic wave interference therefor. SOLUTION: The plasma display apparatus 1 is equipped with a driving pulse generating means (a driving pulse generating circuit 21) for generating a driving pulse for maintaining and driving a plasma display panel 20 and is equipped with a frequency setting control means (driving pulse generating circuit 21) for performing the control to set the frequency (maintaining and driving frequency) of the driving pulse generated by the driving pulse generating means to at any of a plurality of kinds of previously determined frequencies.
