<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical capacitor wherein its inner resistance is reduced enough and its excellent charging/discharging characteristics can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: This electrochemical capacitor 1 comprises mainly an anode and cathode 10, 20 opposing to each other, an insulating separator 40 provided between the anode and cathode 10, 20 adjacently to them, an electrolyte solution 30, and a case 50 for storing the things 10, 20, 30, 40 therein in a hermetic state.
