<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device capable of enhancing air blasting efficiency to an ion generating electrode with a blower fan and a straightening plate built in, hardly generating electric interference between the straightening plate and the ion generating electrode, and capable of preventing adhesion of soil or the like to the straightening plate. <P>SOLUTION: The ion generating device 1 has an ion generating electrode and a high-voltage base plate with a high-voltage generating circuit built in for impressing negative high voltage on the ion generating electrode arranged inside a case 2. Further, a blower fan 9 for generating airstream WO containing negative ions generated by the ion generating electrode 7 is built in in a direction reaching an ion emission hole from the ion generating electrode 7, and the straightening plate 25 straightening the airstream toward the ion emission hole 4 along a plate face is arranged. The straightening plate 25 has an outermost surface part structured with an insulator.
