<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of a radar of FMICW type. <P>SOLUTION: This radar apparatus includes a signal generating means for intermittently sending a continuous wave having an up phase and a down phase as a transmission signal and a local signal, a beat signal generating means receiving the transmission signal reflected by an external target as a reception signal for generating a real part of a beat signal as a complex signal from the local signal and the reception signal in a predetermined period and generating an imaginary part of the beat signal from the local signal and the reception signal after the predetermined period is elapsed, and a signal processing means for obtaining the relative distance and the relative speed of the external target based on the beat signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
