<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine providing variable display execution with unexpectedness by making it hard to visually view the number of waiting times of the variable display. <P>SOLUTION: This game machine is provided with a retention display device 8 displaying the number of retention balls on number display parts 8a-8d; an upper frame 13 turnably supporting the retention display device 8; a shielding solenoid 12 applying a driving force to the retention display device 8; and a display control board actuating the shielding solenoid 12. This display control board actuates the retention display device 8 at a prescribed timing and covers the number display parts 8a-8d by the upper frame 13.
