<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing foreign matters or impurities from seaweed, by which foreign matters or impurities are removed from raw material seaweed irrespective of the sea of origin where the seaweed is growing and collected, so as to uniformize the quality of the seaweed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for removing foreign matters or impurities from seaweed comprises synergetic effects brought by stir of minute-foam-mixed washing water and adhesion of the minute foams. The apparatus for removing foreign matters or impurities comprises a minute foam generator provided with an aerator mixing minute foams into washing water while sucking air therein, and a washing machine for stirring the raw seaweed to wash it via stirring blades in a washing tank having a net-state peripheral wall installed in a water tank. The apparatus has the following structure: small holes are formed on the hollow shaft of the stirring blade arranged in the washing machine, and the discharge side of a supply pipe for the minute-foam-mixed solution mixed with the minute foams via the aerator of the minute foam generator is connected to one end of the shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
