<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector and a liquid crystal display device by which the occurrence of moire is prevented, and original reflection characteristics are sufficiently displayed. <P>SOLUTION: In the adopted reflector 30, recessed parts 28b<SB>1</SB>, 28b<SB>2</SB>are formed along one array direction. When a cross section passing the most deep points of the recessed parts 28b<SB>1</SB>, 28b<SB>2</SB>is set as a 1st cross section and a cross section orthogonal to the 1st cross section is set as a 2nd cross section, these recessed parts 28b<SB>1</SB>, 28b<SB>2</SB>are symmetrical about the 1st cross section and asymmetrical about the 2nd cross section. When directions of respective recessed parts 28b<SB>1</SB>, 28b<SB>2</SB>which are along the 1st cross section are set as the axial directions L<SB>1</SB>, L<SB>2</SB>of the recessed parts 28b<SB>1</SB>, 28b<SB>2</SB>, respective axial directions L<SB>1</SB>, L<SB>2</SB>and the array direction are set so as to be mutually non-parallel and respective axial directions L<SB>1</SB>, L<SB>2</SB>are set two directions or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
