FOLDING APPARATUS OF ROTARY PRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding apparatus of a rotary press capable of switching between collect folding and straight folding by a simple construction without carrying out complicated operation.

SOLUTION: The folding apparatus of the rotary press capable of selecting collect folding or straight folding comprises a fixed needle cam 2 for carrying out action of the straight folding and the collect folding; a correcting needle cam 3 which stops in the straight folding and makes a tip part of the needle go out or in to an outer periphery of a cylinder once to two rotations of a folding cylinder 12 in the collect folding; a blade-inserting cam 4 for inserting an inserting blade each blade inserting device 16 into a blade folding device 17 once per one rotation of the folding cylinder in the straight folding and once per two rotations of the folding cylinder in the collect folding together with a blade-inserting apparatus 16; a switching means 62 for switching a drive side connection to a stop side connection between a correcting needle cam and a blade-inserting cam; and a detection means 61 for detecting a start timing of the changing means.
