<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast group management apparatus which can eliminate the processes based on the illegal separation request by adequately judging possibility for the multicast group separation request to be Leave attack or not and conducting authentication, when it is necessary. <P>SOLUTION: A data relaying apparatus having received the multicast group separation request detects the Leave attack with the procedures 1 to 5 using at least one of the contents of the received multicast group separation request message itself and the number of received multicast group separation request message within the unit time and then performs the necessary procedures. The procedures 1 to 5 may be simply executed or executed through combination of a plurality of these.
