MOVING IMAGE ENCODING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image encoding device by which an object looks smoothly moving.

SOLUTION: A moving image encoding device is provided with; an image conversion part 1 which inputs frame image data and converts it into field image data; an image storage memory 2 which inputs and temporarily holds field image data; a motion compensation prediction part 4 which inputs each block image data of a field image of field image data and reference image data and performed motion compensation prediction to output motion vector data and reference block position data; an interpolating image generation part 6 which inputs motion vector data and reference block position data and generates complementing image data by storing block image data of reference image data in a position shifted from a reference block position based on reference block position data, in the direction of a motion vector based on motion vector data by a distance shorter than the motion vector; and an encoding part 5 for encoding field image data and complementing image data.
