PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current lead using an oxide superconductor which has a small dependency on magnetic field by a mixed phase state of Bi-2223 and Bi-2212 without substituting a part of Bi by Pb or without adding Pb, capable of demonstrating superconducting characteristics as a high temperature phase, capable of obtaining a high temperature superconductor applicable for a current lead or the like in practical level of, for example, a critical current density of 300 A/cm2 at a temperature of 77K. SOLUTION: The current lead uses an oxide superconductor of Bi system containing Sr, Ca, and Cu, and not containing Pb, and the ratio of Bi-2212 composition and Bi-2223 composition is 1-X:X (X=0.4-0.8).
