PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form, at a low cost, an index (FACET 1) signal for preventing a moire or the like caused by the jitters of a scanner. SOLUTION: Chamfering is made larger at one part of the corner of a polygon mirror than other part. Also, reflectivity is reduced at the one part of the corner using a paint. As a result, identification is made possible by B and D beam sensor outputs. In addition, the adjustment by the paint is also applicable to compensation of variance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
