PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating device which surely detects a non-connection state of a heating coil to safely stop an inverter circuit. SOLUTION: The inverter circuit comprising a D.C. power source 1, choke coil 2, first and second capacitors 3 and 4, the heating coil 5, and first and second semiconductor switching elements 6 and 7, is equipped with a heating coil current detection means 9, a control means 10 for driving the first and second semiconductor switching elements 6 and 7, and an operation part 11 for outputting a power direction value to the control means 10. The control means 10 compares the output signal of the detection means 9 with drive signals of the first and second switching elements 6 and 7 based on a signal from the operation part 11, and determines non-connection of the heating coil and stops the operation of the inverter circuit to prevent the breakage of the inverter circuit when the output signal of the detection means 9 is below a predetermined value in outputting a predetermined drive signal.
