DISPLAY DEVICE, DISPLAY METHOD, AND PROJECTOR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving the power of video expression with simple configuration without upsizing the device.

SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with lighting installations (light sources 2R, 2G and 2B) capable of outputting a plurality of primary color lights varying in light emission colors and liquid crystal light valves 22 to 24 which modulate the primary color lights outputted from the lighting installations. The lighting installations are configured to permit the adjustment of the light emission spectra of the primary color lights and the light emitting elements of the respective light sources are made independently controllable in their outputs.
