<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely predict the temperature of a metal sheet being cooled, even if the temperature of cooling water for cooling the metal sheet in its hot rolling changes, by precisely determining the coefficient of heat transfer through a computation expression in cooling the metal sheet surface with the cooling water. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for predicting the temperature of a metal sheet, the coefficient of heat transfer in cooling the metal sheet surface with cooling water is considered as a function of the surface temperature of the metal sheet and the temperature of the cooling water; the function has a part that increases along with lowering of the surface temperature of the metal sheet to a transition-boiling initiation temperature or lower and increases along with the lowering of the temperature of the cooling water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
