PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment which can reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: In the radio communication equipment, an external device 20 is connected to an interface 11 and data from the external device are communicated by radio. The status input circuit 123 of a communication control section 12 monitors a radio control section status signal from a radio control section 15 and an external device status signal from the external device 20. The power consumption is reduced by stopping the operation of the transmission circuit 121 of the communication control section 12 when the radio control section signal from the radio control section 15 indicates intermittent reception and the external device status signal from the external device 20 indicates a communication unnecessary status.
