PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additional IP telephone service provision method with which even a service provider who cannot be connected to an IP network, is enabled to provide his own service to an arbitrary subscriber who wants the service. SOLUTION: When a call is originated from a terminal 20 which is connected to a telephone network 120, to an IP terminal 10, an exchanges 130 connects the call to a gateway 50 on the basis of its IP telephone number. The gateway 50 converts the IP telephone number into a domain name, acquires the URI of a service provider retrieved from a DNS server 30, acquires the IP address and the port number of an SIP server 60 of the service provider from the DNS server 30 on the basis of the URI, and connects the call to the SIP server 70. The SIP server 70 refers to registered contents according to the IP address and the port number and transfers control to an application (AP) server 80 when the authenticated result is OK, and the corresponding service (such as connection or incoming call rejection) is provided to the IP terminal 10 by the AP server 80.
