PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency receiving apparatus with which directional characteristics over a wide range and further are suited to miniaturization can be obtained and a high frequency receiving method. SOLUTION: The high frequency receiving apparatus includes a casing 11, a liquid crystal panel 14 which is disposed in an opening 13 on the casing 11, and an antenna 1 for receiving a high frequency signal, and the antenna 1 is disposed on any one of upper surface, lower surface, right side surface, left side surface and back surface on the back side of an intermediate position 2 where the casing 11 is bisected in the direction of depth.
