PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel selecting device capable of making users recognize the significant buttons when selecting broadcast channels. SOLUTION: An illumination list making means 30 makes an illumination setting list based on a broadcast relevant information including a broadcasting electric wave and EPG information. In the illumination setting list, luminance and luminescent colors of each of LEDs 50a to 50l are defined. The illumination list making means 30 discriminates a significant channel button for the users based on the broadcast relevant information to thereby make the illumination setting list that brings the significant channel button for users into clearer view than the other buttons. An illumination control unit 40 controls individually the LEDs 50a to 50l based on the illumination setting list to make them emit light.
