PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminal equipment capable of executing an application in response to a communication rate of a mobile phone connected to the communication terminal equipment. SOLUTION: The communication terminal equipment connected to communication equipment such as the mobile phone to acquire desired information from an external device through communication includes: an application program for searching information stored in the external device and acquiring the searched information; and a software modem for controlling the connected communication equipment such as the mobile phone and connecting a line to the external device to acquire the information, and the software modem acquires class information of the communication equipment and informs the application about the type information in response to a request from the application program.
