PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging device capable of obtaining a color image signal for one pixel from a plurality of light receiving elements without deteriorating the resolution and to provide a digital camera provided with the solid state imaging device. SOLUTION: Three luminance detecting light receiving elements 10a configuring sub pixels are placed adjacent to three color signal detecting light receiving elements 10b configuring main pixels, and an image signal for one pixel 100a is obtained from a plurality of the light receiving elements 10a, 10b. An R filter 101a, a G filter 101b, and a B filter 101c are respectively arranged to the main pixels 10b, and a monochromatic filter 1001 is respectively arranged to the sub pixels 10a.
