PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component whereby the manufacturing processes of a circuit board can be simplified and the cost of the circuit board can be reduced. SOLUTION: Terminal electrodes 2 designated for external connection, and other terminal electrodes 2(2A, 2B) not used for external connection than the terminal electrodes 2, are provided to a bottom side of the electronic component 1. A connection conductor material (e.g., a solder ball 3) is joined with and formed to only electrode faces of the terminal electrodes 2 for external connection. A terminal connection electrode land 8 is provided to only positions of the circuit board 7 with the electronic component 1 mounted thereon corresponding to the terminal electrodes 2 for external connection of the electronic component 1. Since it is not required to provide the terminal connection electrode land 8 to the front side of the circuit board corresponding to the terminal electrodes 2(2A, 2B) not used for external connection, a wiring pattern 10 or the like is formed to the front side of the circuit board on which the terminal connection electrode land 8 is omitted. Since it is not required to form the wiring pattern 10 in the inside of the circuit board, the manufacturing process of the circuit board 7 can be simplified and the cost of the circuit board 7 can be reduced.
