摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the dispersion of the intake amount of air between all intake valves of a plurality of cylinders in an internal combustion engine with two intake valves in each of the cylinders. SOLUTION: This variable valve control device comprises a first variable valve lift mechanism for varying the lift amount of one intake valve of the plurality of cylinders in a lump and a second variable valve lift mechanism for varying the lift amount of the other intake valve in a lump. In accordance with a valve lift amount dispersion rate DEV(j) of each intake valve calculated from the output of a lift sensor, the target lift amount of each of the intake valves is set for every intake valve to reduce an actual lift amount dispersion between the intake valves. The lift amount of each of the intake valves is controlled for every valve by driving at a high speed the first and second variable valve lift mechanisms to positions equivalent to the valve target lift amounts VVLM1, VVLM2 of the intake valves to be next opened each time in a period for opening all intake valves.
