PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for storing by remote operation a molten solidified body in a storing container having a very small clearance between the body and the container wall surface. SOLUTION: A split band 3 halved in the circumferential direction is put around the shell part of the molten solidified body 5, and the end thereof is connected to a pair of longitudinal beams 7 of a suspension arm 1 by a link mechanism 4. The diameter of the split band is reduced by the link mechanism, and the molten solidified body is suspended from the longitudinal beams by clamping of the spilt band. After inserting the lower ends of the longitudinal beams into the container, the link mechanism is loosened, and the molten solidified body is stored in the container. The split band has a double layer structure wherein the outside is an elastic plate and a belt-shaped sling material is bonded to the inside. A circular guide member 9 having tapered parts formed on the inner and outer surfaces on the lower edge is arranged on the lower end of the longitudinal beams and used as a positioning guide at the suspension time.
