The measuring device has a turbine wheel (7) acted on by the mass flow and a motor (5) for rotation of the turbine wheel shaft (6) at a constant rate, the motor supported for rotation relative to a frame (1), with force measuring devices (12,13) determining the torque exerted on the motor by the mass flow. The motor is supported at the side for axial movement relative to the frame, the turbine wheel shaft supported so that it can pivot in all directions relative to the frame.
