A motion transmission (1) comprises an insulating connecting rod (2) which couples a motion input connector (3), actuated by a control mechanism (9), to a motion output connector (4) that acts on a moving contact (5) which is electrically connected to a pole (15) of the interrupter apparatus. The transmission further includes an insulating casing (6) which surrounds the connecting rod and contains an insulating gas (7). A dielectric shutter device with two stop positions is disposed between the casing and the envelope, and is adapted to be, though only in each of the two stop positions, a solid dielectric barrier between the pole (15) of the apparatus and the control mechanism (9), the shutter device being permeable to gas between the two said stop positions.
