CONTROL METHOD FOR QUANTITY OF TONER ELECTRIFICATION OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for the toner charging amount of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus that can control the charging amount of toner by detecting the agitation time of toner in a developing unit.

SOLUTION: The control method for the toner charging amount of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus is a method which uses a nonmagnetic two-component developer and includes a step of preventing the toner from excessively being electrified by integrating the agitation time Ta of mixing and agitation of toner and a carrier in an agitation area of the developing unit for frictional electrification of the toner (S110), and supplying new toner by a desired amount to the agitation area (S130) when the integrated agitation time Ta reaches a specified reference agitation time Tr (S120).
