<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin-form nonaqueous secondary battery with excellent cycle characteristics and preservation characteristics by enhancing the mechanical intensity of at least either of electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: In the coin-form nonaqueous secondary battery made by containing a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution in an enclosed space formed of a positive electrode can, a negative electrode can, and a ring-shaped insulating gasket, at least either the positive electrode or the negative electrode is constituted of a pellet type molded body of a mixture containing at least an active material and a conductive auxiliary agent consisting of low crystalline carbon fiber with an average length of 100 μm or more with the surface coated with a highly conductive matter such as graphite, metal or the like. The low crystalline carbon fiber is preferred to have a carbon face interval d<SB>002</SB>of 0.38 nm or more, and the graphite coating the surface is preferred to have a carbon face interval d<SB>002</SB>of 0.37 nm or less, while the metal is preferred to be one not ionizing in the battery such as Al. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
