<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element substrate, electro-optical device and electronic appliance which suppresses the irregularity of a characteristic of an active element in the circuit for driving an element to be driven such as an electro-optical element. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device D comprises an element layer 1, a wiring-forming layer 2 and an electronic component layer 3. The element layer 1 has a plurality of organic EL elements 10 arranged on different positions in a flat plane respectively. The electronic component layer 3 has an IC chip 37 for pixel drive. The IC chip 37 for pixel drive includes a plurality of pixel circuits 377 for driving the organic EL elements 10 which are different from one another. The wiring-forming layer 2 is located between the element layer 1 and the electronic component layer 3. The wiring-forming layer 2 is provided with a wiring which connects the respective pixel circuits 377 included in the IC chip 37 for pixel drive and the organic EL elements 10 corresponding to the pixel circuits 377. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
