<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission ratio variable steering system for a vehicle which can accurately calculate a motor current. <P>SOLUTION: This transmission ratio variable steering system 100 for a vehicle is equipped with a transmission ratio variable device 30 which can vary the transmission ratio of a steering turn angle to a steering angle by a drive motor 31 which is a drive source, and a controller 60 which controls current application to the drive motor. The controller reads in a different reference digital value, according to the voltage of a power source, and compares the reference digital value with a digital input value inputted via an A/D converter from a current sensor, thereby calculating a motor current when it calculates the motor current flowing to the drive motor so as to estimate the temperature of a specified part. Hereby, even if the reference digital value varies by the voltage of a power source, the accurate calculation of the motor current is conducted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
