<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for oxidizing and cleaning HC, CO and SOF in a diesel engine exhaust gas and reducing discharge of a particulate, and its production method. <P>SOLUTION: In the catalyst for cleaning the diesel engine exhaust gas, a refractory three-dimensional structure body carries a catalyst component containing silica-alumina and zeolite carrying at least one kind of noble metal selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium and rhodium. In the production method for the catalyst, a noble metal component is added to a slurry of silica-alumina to carry out chemical adsorption, the refractory three-dimensional structure body is immersed in a mixed slurry of the silica-alumina carrying noble metal and zeolite obtained by adding zeolite to deposit the catalyst component and calcination is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
