PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite body having a constitution wherein a copper foil is formed uniformly on an aluminum support and the support can be peeled off easily from the copper foil after this is fixed to an insulating substrate, as the composite body having the copper foil formed on the support. SOLUTION: After a zinc layer 3 is formed on an aluminum foil 2 by a substitution plating method, a nickel layer 4 is formed by the substitution plating method. Next, a nickel oxide layer 41 is formed by oxidizing the surface of the nickel layer 4.
