PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a washing tool which is generally called squeegee and used for washing window glass or ceiling with water or with a liquid-state detergent, and to provide a washing method using the improved washing tool. SOLUTION: The washing tool includes a washing tool main body 10 with which a washing surface wiping means is mounted on a top end of a pipe, and an atomizing means 70 for atomizing the washing water or the liquid-state detergent over the washing surface. The washing water or the liquid-state detergent is atomized over the washing surface, the washing water or the liquid-state detergent is then wiped off by the washing surface wiping means 20, and the washing surface is washed. The washing surface wiping means is mounted on the top end of the pipe to be freely swung. In the other washing tool, a top end of its washing tool main body part is provided with a thin wire member having a capillary phenomenon 90 along its washing surface wiping means.
