PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtualized information management apparatus for efficiently building up a virtualized storage system having high reliability. SOLUTION: Information regarding update of mapping information 231a, 231b is transferred between a self-virtualised information management apparatus 10a and a virtualized information management apparatus 10b connected to other storage area network (SAN) 14b, the mapping information 231a of the management apparatus 10a is updated, based on the information regarding the update of the received mapping information 231b, and the mapping information 231a shared with the other SAN 14b is distributed to be stored.
