PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning-fork crystal oscillator without the deterioration of a characteristic in an oscillator in a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: At least an exciting electrode membrane, a fixing part electrode membrane, and a connection electrode membrane connecting the exciting and fixing electrode membranes are formed on front surface of the electrode membrane shape of the tuning-fork crystal piece. The connection electrode membrane for connecting the fixing part electrode membrane to fix a lead wire by soldering in the base of the crystal piece to the exciting electrode membrane includes a small width in the neighborhood of a connection to the fixing part electrode membrane. An intermediate electrode larger in width than the connection electrode is arranged between the fixing part electrode membrane and the exciting electrode membrane. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
