摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disturbance in a reproduced picture at the time of layer jump without increasing the storage capacity in an optical disk device. SOLUTION: When an optical disk D having a recording plane of two layers is loaded, the recording order of the data in the direction of radius of each layer is obtained, a target address for starting the preparing operation of the layer jump is set in accordance with the recording order. When the target address is detected during reproducing data of a first layer, look-ahead of data is performed with the maximum speed to a finish address of the first layer, and look-ahead data is accumulated in a memory. After that, when look-ahead of data is performed until the finish address of the first layer, a layer jump is performed while reproducing the data accumulated in the memory, and data of the second layer is reproduced at normal reproducing speed.
