PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall which enables packing to be surely mounted by avoiding interference with furring strips, even in the presence of the furring strips at the height of the mounting of the packing. SOLUTION: In this exterior wall 1, an exterior wall material 4 is mounted on a wall part 3 of a skeleton 2 of a building via the furring strips 30, and the packing 8 is fitted and inserted into a clearance 7 between an upper end of the material 4 and an eave soffit 45. The packing 8 comprises: a main body part 8a which is inserted into the clearance 7 from an outdoor side so as to be supported on the upper end of the material 4; a locking part 8b which is protrusively provided downward at the outdoor-side end of the main body part 8a so as to be locked to the outer surface of the upper end of the material 4; at least two outdoor-side and indoor-side airtight piece parts 8e and 8f which are protrusively provided upward on the top surface part of the main body part 8a at an interval in the direction of insertion, so that each of tip sides can be brought into press-contact with an undersurface of the eave soffit 45; and a hooking part 8c which is protrusively provided downward at the indoor-side end of the main body part 8a so as to be hooked on the inner surface of the upper end of the material 4.
