PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally insulating construction method of a wooden building for reducing an outwardly projected width by nailing a face material and a roof backing material in layers to the projecting edge possessed on the periphery of a thermally insulating board on the outside of a vertical member and a horizontal member of an outer wall and the outside of sash bars arranged at equal intervals on an inclined face of a roof. SOLUTION: In this thermally insulating construction method of the wooden building, the projecting edge 21 possessed on the periphery of the rectangular thermally insulating board 20, is installed in layers on the outside of the vertical member 26 and the horizontal member 27 for constructing the building. The face material 23 is nailed on the outside. A ventilation layer 24 is arranged in a space between the thermally insulating board 20 stretched outside the outer wall and an internal facing finishing material 30 stretched inside by sandwiching the vertical member 26. The projecting edge 21 possessed on both side edges in the longitudinal direction of the rectangular thermally insulating board 25, is installed in layers on the outside of the sash bars 34 arranged at equal intervals on the inclined face of the roof.
