PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defects in sealing by uniformly distributing a spacer over the entire liquid crystal panel when liquid crystal is charged between substrates by a vacuum dripping method, in a liquid crystal display panel, constituted by charging a liquid crystal material between opposite substrates by dripping the liquid crystal material on the substrate, and in its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display panel includes a seal material coating process of forming a closed frame of a seal material on an internal surface of at least one of a couple of substrates along the surface, a liquid crystal supply process of dripping the liquid crystal material on the internal surface side of the substrate, a liquid crystal layer forming process of forming a liquid crystal layer between the couple of substrates by putting the couple of substrates one over the other under reduced pressure so that their internal surfaces face each other and putting them back under atmospheric pressure to spread the liquid crystal material, and a seal material setting process of setting the seal material by irradiating the seal material with light. Under the atmospheric pressure, a pressure difference reduction area for reducing the pressure difference between the inner and outer sides of the seal material is provided outside the seal material.
