PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode grinding apparatus in which a cutter can be held surely by a cutter holder is ensured and a tightening bolt can be prevented from being damaged while grinding dusts are easily discharged by adopting a through hole as the discharging passage of the grinding dusts. SOLUTION: In the electrode grinding apparatus in which the cutter holder 1 is constituted of bisected two half holders 2, with two cutter blades 6 held between the two half holders, the followings are formed each in a pair: a recessed groove 11 for housing a cutter blade, from one side to the center of the divided face of each half holder; a semi circular projection 14 with the opening facing the cutter blade and with a tightening bolt 13 inserted inside, on the end of the recessed groove, on the center side of the divided face; a recess 15 with which the tip end of the electrode can engage, in the upper and lower part of the projection 14; a projected line 16 for the cutter blade to come in contact with, on the other side; and a through hole 17 for discharging grinding dust, between the projected line 16 and the end of the recess 15.
