A METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING A PILE

This invention relates to a method of constructing a pile. The method includes forming a shaft in the ground and then forming a helical thread in the ground around the shaft by means of a ground tapping tool. Reinforcement is suitably placed in the shaft and a liquid pile forming material, such as concrete or a cementitious grout, is introduced into the shaft for filling the pile cavity including the shaft and the helical thread. The pile forming material then is permitted to set to form the pile.
