<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a stable operation at a plant or facilities using glass beads as the result that the glass beads with various usages have superior fluidity in a wide range of using conditions from low humidity to high humidity and do not cause plugging, holding up or an uneven flow in their discharging device or transporting piping. <P>SOLUTION: The glass beads are satisfied with the conditions such that (a) a mean spherical particle diameter is 3.5 mm or less, (b) a mean true particle sphericity is 0.78 or more and 1 or less, (c) their surfaces are coated with at least one of an antistatic agent containing an electric conductive metal oxide, a phosphate type surfactant and a silicone oil and (d) the discharging angle of the glass beads is 22° or less at 25°C and RH of 85%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
