PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decide timing for video mute processing in switching processing. SOLUTION: A TV microcomputer 65 transmits a channel switching processing request command to a wireless center microcomputer 41 via SS transmission reception units 61, 45 (101, 103, 105). The wireless center microcomputer 41 returns a response of indicating the reception of the channel switching processing request command to the TV microcomputer 65 via the SS transmission reception units 45, 61 (107, 111, 115). Then the wireless center microcomputer 41 carries out a request processing 118 with respect to the received channel switching processing request and transmits processing completion information indicating the finished processing to the TV microcomputer 65 (121, 123, 125). Upon the receipt of the processing completion information, a TV main body 5 applies mute processing to a screen for a period after the point of time of reception as a start point so as to conceal the disturbance of the display caused by a delay at channel switching.
